All EcoLotto Winning Numbers are determined via a random number generation process that is open to verification by anyone. To generate the winning EcoLotto numbers we have been combining 6 numbers from WWW.RANDOM.ORG and a single ecological statistic. As the number of entries increases, we will start generating the winning EcoLotto numbers by combining a pre-determined ecological statistic with world financial market closing numbers. We will be posting the method and weekly results here so everyone will be able to verify that the winning EcoLotto numbers were randomly generated.  |
EcoLotto is happy to invite all eco-logical citizens to enter themselves and/or their eco friends in our totally free $4,444 eco-lottery -- as a thanks for helping protect our exquisite biosphere. To enter yourself or a friend in the monthly EcoLotto drawing, send an email to ecolotto{at}yahoogroups{dot}com that includes :: *1* A note or story about an ecological action(s) that you -- or a friend has taken for the planet in the last month. *2* Your first name, the last three numbers of your telephone number, and town and state where you live. *3* If you are entering a friend, also include your friend's first name, the last three numbers of their telephone number, and town and state where your friend lives.  That's all you have to do to be entered in EcoLotto's monthly $4,444, $444 and $44 drawing!All entries are automatically posted to the EcoLotto Yahoo Group. To see your and others' entries, checkout the EcoLotto Yahoo Group. Purely Optional: *A* If you want to pick your own EcoLotto numbers -- instead of the Quick Pick numbers we automatically assign every entry -- then choose 6 different numbers from 1 to 42, and post them in the entry/message as described below. *B* It's also ok to enter EcoLotto by posting your entry/message directly to the EcoLotto Yahoo Group -- instead of using email. *C* To enter the three $44 weekly bonus drawings, post additional entry(s) each week. *D* If you have a blog or forum posting that talks about the eco actions you or your friend's have taken, it' great to include a link to that blog or forum entry in your entry/message. So keep on taking eco actions for our sweet blue planet with your friends — and then enter your friends and yourself in our totally free EcoLotto drawings! EcoLotto entries can be emailed or posted on any day of the month. Entering more than once per month does not increase a person's odds of winning, but it does increase a person's chance of winning the full jackpot because their eco score may be higher. 
Six lottery numbers between 1 and 42 are assigned to each EcoLotto entry/message based on the EcoLotto Yahoo Group message number given by Yahoo. 
To see the six lottery numbers assigned to any entry, first look at the message number it has been given on the EcoLotto Yahoo Group message board. Then use the last two numbers of the message to look up the random lottery number for that entry/message on the Quick Pick chart.For instance, to find the six EcoLotto numbers for message number 261, look at our current random Quick Pick number table to find the six random numbers assigned to number 61. The current Quick Pick table is at ecolotto.org/Quickpick.htm. A new list of random numbers is generated every few months. We will search all forum messages for winning numbers, and contact individuals that have the winning numbers. Feel free to double check us to see if you or your friends have won. 
If you prefer to choose the EcoLotto numbers for a friend's or your entry, pick 6 different numbers from 1 to 42 and include these in the EcoLotto entry you email to us, or that you post directly at EcoLotto Yahoo Group. Post the numbers you choose in this format: ranked numbers separated by dashes, month and year (with no spaces). 
Here is an example: 1-4-15-17-35-37-July2007.We ask you to use this format so it is easier for us to find winning entries with the search function, and to have an official way for everyone to enter. For example, if you choose the numbers 40, 13, 4, 12, 8, 3 for a March 2007 entry, please rank and enter the numbers and date with dashes like this, 3-4-8-12-13-40-March2007. If you choose your own numbers for an entry, the Quick Pick numbers will not apply to that entry/message. (Ok, that's obvious, right?) If you are posting/entering the weekly $44 drawings too, we will use the last entry of the month as the official EcoLotto entry for the monthly $4,444 and $444 drawing. We will search all entries/messages for the winning numbers, and contact a person if they have the winning number. However, feel free to check your numbers with the winning numbers we draw. 
To win all or part of the $44 prizes, a qualified candidate needs to have 4 out of the 6 winning numbers drawn. The odds of having 4 out of 6 of the winning EcoLotto numbers is about 1 in 556. (Based on the Colorado State Lottery ) To be included in all four of the weekly $44 drawings, send an EcoLotto entry message to the EcoLotto Yahoo Group before 11:59 p.m. on the 7th, 14th, 21st and the last day of the month. The last $44 weekly winning number of the month will be the same number as the one used for the monthly $444 and $4,444 drawing. To win all or part of the $444 prizes, a qualified candidate needs to have 5 out of the 6 winning numbers drawn. 
The odds of having 5 out of the 6 winning EcoLotto numbers are about 1 in 24,287. (Based on the Colorado State Lottery odds.)To win all or part of the $4,444 prizes, a qualified candidate needs to have 6 out of the 6 winning numbers drawn. The odds of having all 6 of the winning EcoLotto numbers are about 1 in 5,245,786. (Based on the Colorado State Lottery odds.) The monthly $44, $444 and $4,444 EcoLotto drawing will usually be conducted on the first business day of the month. Monthly entries that have been posted in the last calendar month (between the 1st and 31st of the previous month) will be eligible for that month's drawing. Entries that are posted between the 1st day of the month and the day of the drawing will *not* be included in the drawing for the previous calendar month's drawing - even though the drawing has occurred after the entry was posted. Each person can only have one EcoLotto number entered per month in the $4,444 and $444 drawing. Therefore, if a person has weekly entries in order to get in on the $44 drawings, we will use the last entry/message posted that month to determine the EcoLotto numbers entered for that person. To be a candidate for the yearly $44,444 Power EcoLotto jackpot drawing: • One of the candidate's monthly EcoLotto entries must have all 6 of the winning Power EcoLotto numbers. • The same entry must have the winning Power EcoLotto Number as well. All monthly message entries will be assigned a Power EcoLotto Number before the drawing. These Power EcoLotto Numbers will be determined according to the message number and will be announced prior to the Yearly Power EcoLotto drawing - similar to the Quick Pick method. Plus, as with the monthly drawings, the entrant's eco words, art, music, media and or actions will be scored using the Earth Citizens Accord as a guide. For each 'Team', 'Art', 'Logic' and 'Love' score that is 1% or more, the entrant will be a candidate for $11,111 of the jackpot. {4 x $11,111 = $44,444}. The odds of winning the yearly $44,444 Power EcoLotto jackpot will be announced before the drawing. EcoLotto entry deadline for any given month is 11:59 p.m. on the last day of the month. If more than one person has chosen the winning numbers, the big $44,444, $4,444 and $444 pots will be split between the winners. If ten or more persons have chosen the winning $44 drawing number, $440 will be split between the winners. 
EcoLotto's mission is to honor those who have taken ecological actions or made lifestyle choices that substantially benefit the planet — by giving them a chance to win cash and prizes. 
Therefore, to qualify for all or part of the various EcoLotto jackpots, the EcoLotto Award Committee will attempt to score the eco actions taken by the Winner Candidate by using the Earth Citizens Accord as a guide.For each Earth Citizens Accord 'Team', 'Art', 'Logic' and 'Love' score that is 1% or more, the entrant will be a candidate for 1/4 of the $44, $444, $4,444 or $44,444 jackpots. We admit our scoring system is a very rough measurement of a person's eco actions, but it does give us a way to honor a few people for loving the Earth with their eco actions. For example, for each of the Earth Citizens Accord Team, Art, Logic and Love scores that are 1% or more as determined by the EcoLotto Award Committee, a person will be a Winner Candidate for $1,111 of the $4,444 monthly jackpot, $111 of the $444 monthly midpot, or $11 of the weekly $44 drawings. To qualify for a full $4,444 jackpot, the full $444 midpot, or a full $44 weekly pot, all four of the Earth Citizens Accord scores need to be 1% or more. Winner Candidates agree that they will allow someone to interview them in person, on the phone or via the web about the eco actions they have taken for our exquisite planet. Winner Candidates who are to be awarded a cash prize agree that their name and their eco actions may be announced on the EcoLotto website, or may be announced in other media forms - such as radio, TV, web, newspaper and other publications. If requested, a Winner Candidate agrees to give us reasonable verification that shows they have taken the eco actions stated in their EcoLotto entry. If requested, a Winner Candidate agrees to give the names of three friends or associates that are willing to verify that the winner has taken the eco actions stated by the winner. A Winner Candidate's first name, last three numbers of their phone number and the town-state where they live should match the EcoLotto entry. The final decision as to whether a Winner Candidate will be given a cash award will be up to the EcoLotto Award Committee. In general, to qualify as an eco action, the actions taken by the Winner Candidate should be actions that are endorsed or promoted by two or more nationally respected environmental non-profit organizations, or the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as being good for our planet's environment. Wow... even though this section was intense... we soooo look forward to your EcoLotto monthly or weekly entries. We also hope you and your friends win some cash for your good eco work. The current Eco Challenge is to invite friends to join you in taking these 10 Sierra Club actions to Curb Global Warming, and then enter them in the EcoLotto for doing so. EarthE.org has some rad *eco money* to print out and honor friends for their eco actions -- such as the Polar Bear, Apple and Gorilla EarthE Money. To participate in EcoLotto, clubs or kids 10 to 16 years of age need to submit their EcoLotto words, art, songs and media, and their eco action stories as a group under the supervision of an adult. There should be at least 6 kids in a group. No children under 10 please. Eco citizens of any age are very welcome to participate in the Earth Citizens Accord ecological pledge and game for the biosphere.
